thunderbird lost my email accounts

I opened Thunderbird to check my emails and found everything was gone. All 3 of my email accounts totally gone. I had been using these email accounts in Thunderbird for years. Everything was there when I checked my emails 4 hours previously.

I have Windows 10 installed, and the only thing that changed between now and 4 hours ago was windows updates were installed.

Update - I read a couple of other topics from today with the exact same problem - the issue was caused by CCleaner (grr). I have found my email files and copied them into the profile - recovering all of my messages.
