I was using Thunderbird for my e-mail and was prompted to upgrade to a newer version. When it did, I cannot get access to my old Address Book or my old e-mails

If I have to re-enter all my Address Book entries and If I cannot get access to all my old e-mails, I would rather go back to the old version. How can I do this??
