the space in the center of the calendar view above the actual calendar used to show a filtered list of several events. Now that list is gone. how do I get it back?

I finally noticed a menu item "Events and Tasks > Find Events" with no shortcut such as Ctrl-F which I had tried. That fixed it.

My calendar is missing the part that is circled in this illustration. That part suddenly disappeared and I cannot get it back.

Maybe if I could figure out what that part is called I could search for help, but it is not named in any place that I have thought of so far to search in.

Looking at the task view, there is a similar section with a note to use Ctrl-shift-k to filter tasks, but that combination does not work to bring back the missing filter events view (if that is what it is called).
