Hello! My computer recently lost all its firefox history & I had no backup stored. Is there:

(A) A way of reloading this deleted history as I require some work files? Some of it I have been able to recoup from memory by googling the data again but I can't locate all I need.

(B) If not is there simply a log somewhere on firefox that would give me a date & time that firefox was even opened/clicked on as this would narrow down my search? i.e. Is there a "clock in" file saved somewhere that records simply when was firefox accessed - even if I can't get the actual history back.

You can check if there is a previous version of the places.sqlite file that you can restore.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.

These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
