themes not showing
I made the mistake of changing from a summer theme to fall (or trying to change to fall). I went to my collections of themes in add on, picked one, the art work did not show up, I tried another after another, closed the browser, etc.. I read the article and that did not help. Right now I have a bright white with hard to read yellow text. Windows 7, newest Firefox. What do I try?

Please see if the theme also does this in Safe Mode: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
If your problem persists in Safe Mode, it is not being caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Other possible causes could be plugins or changes made to Firefox preference settings, which are not disabled in Safe Mode. Please see the next steps here
Some can be previewed and others cant. In Firefox for desktop addon themes do not seem to have the option to try on a them like Firefox for Android does.

Hi PA-Lenape, Thank you for your question, I understand that you have changed your theme and that it is not showing up correctly.
Please check the theme page on addons.mozilla.org to make sure it is compatible with version 32.0..
Can you please also provide a link to an example theme where this is happening? As I also understand that you have already read: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems however, were there any other changes to add ons or extensions that may be interacting with the theme you have chosen?
A lightweight theme (Persona) should always be compatible with any Firefox version
Does preview work if you go to the website of that theme and can you (re)install such a theme?
Previewing a lightweight theme (Persona) only works on sites that are white-listed via an allow exception, so make sure to have an allow exception for the addons.mozilla.org domain.
Firefox only stores the header and footer image files of the currently selected Persona in the profile folder. The image files of other installed Personas are loaded from the server when you select a different Persona via "Add-ons > Appearance". If the image files are missing or can't be retrieved then you only see the text and background colors as specified in the data of the Persona.
Hi folks. I only get online once or twice a week.
I did add on/Appearance - I tried an old theme from summer, no picture. I have just tried a theme called Not Just Another Fall, I have a yellow background, no picture but the text is black.
So what do I need to do? How do I preview them?

You can't use a theme in Safe Mode.
Are you using the default theme in Firefox or a custom theme?
Not all themes work with a lightweight theme (Persona).
Aren't any lightweight themes showing when you hover them on the Add-ons page?
You need an allow exception for software to make previewing work.
- Tools > Page Info > Permissions
I did everything everyone said & now the themes are working. Thank you all!
