Can't mail to a group list. Get error is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the e-mail.

The list is a list of individual emails that I have grouped to have the ability to send to everyone with one selection. The individual emails work well. When I select the group name and place it in the To: box I get the following email error box. "is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the e-mail." Could not find a solution. Did not see anywhere where Thunderbird was releasing any updates. What is going on?
