why does unchecking hardware acceleration cause my PC to become unresponsive?
Under advanced settings when trying to uncheck hardware acceleration Windows 7 64bit the computer becomes totally unresponsive/locks up. Unable to bring up the task bar, only option is to force reset the computer. Cannot update graphic driver to latest version because of known black screen issues with NVidia driver version 335.xxx and so I'm currently using 331.82 until they fix the issue. I have no add-ons so that is not to blame.

Is there a reason you are unchecking Hardware acceleration? this helps Firefox run faster and more efficiently on your hardware.
