Hi all: since the update to version 26 Firefox doesn't start with the extension of Dashlane enabled. Chrome is working just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello anthonyhu,

Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support. I just tried Dashlane on Firefox 26 and it seemed to work just fine, so I don't think it's an issue of an out of date plugin. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Dashlane plugin?

Cheers, Patrick

Hi Patrick,

thanks for your reply.

Indeed, if Dashlane is installed after Firefox 26, there is no problem running the add-on as such within a first few runs. However, my experience is that after several starts, Dashlane starts to ask whether it can be enabled within Firefox again and the problem is that –although I can see the request windows– clicking on the enable (green) button doesn't result in anything. After this, starting Firefox will be impossible (either no reaction or the window appears but emptied with the message (Not Responding).

The only thing sofar that helped is to deinstall Firefox and install it again. Then it works a few time and the same experience as above showed up again.

Hope you can reproduce this behavior at your lab.

Many thanks again for trying to help.

Rgds

Thanks for the update anthonyhu. I'm still not able to reproduce this issue.

Have you reached out to the folks at Dashlane's support group? It looks like they are aware of the issue and recommending the following:

Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Hi Patrick,

I have tried to reset Firefox. However, both reset and start in safe mode does not start Firefox at all: no window appears, no reaction, absolutely nothing. The only one thing I could do until now is to de-install Firefox and re-install it. Not sure whether this behavior is due to my typical way of using my Windows 7 64-bit: I usually don't shutdown the notebook (Lenovo E530) but let it go to hibernation mode: the problem between Firefox 26 and Dashlane started after a few wake-ups from hibernation.

Just updated Dashlane to 2.3.3 and reinstall Firefox 26: everything seems to be ok until I restarted the computer: when attempting to start Firefox, it says that the extension Dashlane isn't enabled. So I chose 'enable it' but after that Firefox never starts again or after something like ten minutes a Firefox window appear with the '(Not Responding)' remark.

Continue... Have just tried to attach the Dump file of the non-responsive firefox task from the taskmanager. However, it's 400MB big so I couldn't. Maybe you guys can tell what I can do to trouble shoot because resetting or starting in safe mode doesn't bring anything...

My Firefox 25.? Updated to Version 26.0 and then wouldn't go to any web page. I looked all through Mozilla Firefox, with IE Explorer, for and earlier version but didn't find any. So I uninstalled it and used IE Explorer search the web and found ( http://www.filehippo.com/download_firefox/s/ ) where I downloaded Firefox version 25.0 that works.
