FF '5' tells me that the Google Toolbar and it's 'Auto Fill' Feature are NOT available for this version. - WHY?

WHY would you do this with a really great feature like 'Auto Fill'?? - Please fix this ASAP, as we've come sooooo far in the computing world, why step backwards into the 'Cave' from whence we emerged? -

Mozilla didn't do anything except to disable a Toolbar extension that the developer of that extension said was for a maxVersion of Firefox 4.0.*

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.

The Google Toolbar 7.1.20110512W version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%. Some users have said that the Auto Fill functions isn't working, but you can try it for your self quite easily.

Google Labs has been working on a GTB 8 version, but it looks like it isn't made for Firefox - just for Internet Explorer.

So, maybe Google isn't going to be supporting Firefox any longer. That might be a move to force Google Toolbar users over to Google Chrome, which I believe has all those features built-in.

Thanks for your help w/ this, but I haven't tried what you suggested yet, so don't know if it has helped. (Will try later today, when I have some time.)

But I have to wonder about Google's 'Creed' - "DO NO EVIL"!! - Has this bit of wisdom been tossed in favor of even MORE BILLIONS for the privileged shareholders, and Execs of Google?? - I may have to jump back to IE to enjoy my 'Auto Fill' feature!

Quite honestly, the Google Toolbar extension has caused a number of problems for some Firefox users for a long time now. It has never been popular with those of us doing Firefox support.

There are a few other "Auto Fill" add-ons available for Firefox, that have been kept up-to-date.

Hi, - I clked on the link you provided, (Thanks!), and then went with 'Auto Fill', by th doan, (the same author for autofill for the Google Toolbar), and clked on the 'add-on' button, which tells me that it will be added after 'Re-Start', but when I clk restart, it kind of does a brief 'Blink', and never really does the whole restart thing. - Then, Nothing appears on my Firefox page indicating that I now have an Auto-Fill feature on board! - Any ideas? -

(BTW, - I have Win 7, Home Premium, 64bit, on my 2yr. old Toshiba Laptop.) - Pat
