How do I have two tabs open at once
I want to work on two windows at the same time, in order to drag a symbol from one to the other

Maybe there is an add-on to display tabs side-by-side in the same window? It's definitely not built in.
You could open the pages in two separate windows and resize the windows so they appear side by side.
Let's say you have a window with two tabs open.If you restore the window so it's not maximized (you can see some desktop behind it), then you can drag one tab out of the window and drop it over the desktop area to give it its own window.
As far as I know, there isn't a way to place those windows side-by-side automatically, but you can use all the usual methods of resizing windows with the mouse to set it up.
