Closing multiple tabs with many open - can it change?

more options

When you have multiple tabs open, they resize to allow for more and more to fit. When you close one tab, the rest get slightly larger. This is really annoying when you have two or more consecutive tabs you want to close.

In Chrome, they don't resize, they all shift along so that the next tab's close button is right where the last one was (and therefore under your mouse).

This is a feature that I really liked in Chrome, and the lack of it really frustrates me in Firefox.

Does anyone know of a plugin I can get to change that? Or could it possibly become a new feature in a later version?

Thank you.

/ The tab width isn't an issue....

It's the automatic resizing... You know how when you open so many tabs and they shrink to fit more in (which also isn't the problem) and then, if you close a tab by hitting the x on the tab all the tabs grow slightly, then the next tab's x is in a different place. So it's not the tab width that annoys me, it's the tab growth. In Chrome they dont grow until you leave the ttab area, they just slide along so you can close the next one.

I'm on my phone so I can't try the plugin out, but from what I read it's not what I want.
