As usually a popup is opened after having move and click the mouse on a specific part of a website but the popup is blank when I am expecting a picture. exemple : http://www.lokmontagne.com/locations/appartements/popup/plan_nc29.html Firefox version 4.0, plugins, adobe, java ... installed. Thanks Yves

Your link opens and I see a .jpg image in firefox 3.6 and firefox 4, I can also use http://www.lokmontagne.com/locations/appartements and open the web content from that listing.

Does this help Fix problems that cause images to not show

After reviewing all the items of "Images or animations do not show" issue not fixed !

What happens with the link in your original post. Do you see the image from that ?

I do and have copied and attached the image, can you see that ?

Is it only that one site you have problems with ?

Do you see the remainder of that site ok ?

answering to your questions : 1- when I click to the original link I don't see the image only two green lines on the top and on the bottom 2- your attached image is OK 3- I found an other site with the same issue .gif image is not displayed 4- The other pages of the lok'montagne site is OK

Then what I can do ?

I am not too sure what is happening. The article I linked to should have helped you. This might be repeating some of the information in that article, but worth looking again.

Go to the link you provided ie

  • now look at the location bar of firefox, it will have an icon (favicon/site identilty button) on the left
  • click the button and a dialogue will open including a button More Information...
  • click that button and "Page info " should open
  • click and look at the media tab
    • that now should display information about the image, - do you see that
    • it should even have a preview of the image in the scrollable panel at the bottom - are you able to scroll and see the image
    • the little box [x] Block ... should not be checked
  • click and look at the Permissions tab that should certainly include load images automatically, and probably not have anything blocked

I have just realised I inadvertently copied the test image as a .png, it is a.jpg so I have attached again

Thank you for the willingness to help me, then you don't give me the solution yet. ......I am able to scroll and I am not able to see the image ! no image here ! eventhough the Permissions tab include load images automatically, and have not anything blocked  ! We stand at the blocking point !

What are you seeing in the page info - media tab. You should see the name of the image file, and the details of that file, so what you see should be very like the image I now attach.

How does your page info - media tab differ from mine ?
(I have scrolled the image up and off the lower pane)

Are you able to attach a screen shot of your page info - permissions tab?

I see no attachement on your last posted message. I scroll up & down viewing nothing. Here is attached the screen shot of the permission table then the media-tab I would like to confirm I find the similar situation with other websites.

Back at home I am desesperated : the situation described two weeks ago is still the same ! When this issue will be fixed ?

You seem to be getting a 1 px .gif where I am getting a .jpg image. A 1 px gif is just going to be a place holder, it is not going to be anything to look at.

I see the jpg whether I block popups or not. I am not sure why you see something different, but can you see the images I have now attached which are .jpg files. Is your system seeing .jpg images ok ?

I see all the files you attached and popup are not blocked !

Try in Firefox SafeMode. Try with extensions disabled.

You for some reason see a single pixel .GIF but the site content is a .JPEG image. It would appear something is blocking the correct jpeg content and putting a single pixel .gif in its place.

Are you able to see the image on the website if you link directly to it using the link http://www.lokmontagne.com/locations/.../plan_vm22.jpg Note the link ends in .jpg.

If you are able to link in that manner you should at least have a workaround for displaying the images even if they will not work as intended and appear in a popout.
