This am my Windows 11 pc had restarted, as it did yesterday also. No icon for Firefox, got a message saying Windows could not access something. Looked for FF in my apps, not there, so downloaded it, now working. Then clicked my Thunderbird icon in the tray and got a virtually blank screen that I have never seen, nothing from my account, no menus, just Thunderbird blurb on the right side and a big Donate button. Looked for TB in my apps, not there, so downloaded it, still as above. PLEASE HELP> I am NOT someone who can go into files etc etc and am desperate to get my TB back again. Many thanks, Gillian

Have you sorted it out?

Thank you, Wayne. Unfortunately no and after looking at the error messages at Windows start-up, I realized that the real problem is that Windows, in crashing, wiped out my profile etc

So now am waiting to see if my IT guy can help. Odd thing is that the only apps that were destroyed are Firefox and Thunderbird. And now I can't even get in anywhere. I was a documentation specialist contractor and was appalled every time I had to work with MS Word. Plus ca change evidently.

I have the same problem, but I do not know how to find out, if it's Windows (11), that makes the mess. Can you tell me how to figure that out? I'm so sad about this.
