Hi,

I use Firefox, have done for a long time, in the Settings, Search, Search Shortcuts I have Google ticked and it still has the tick in it. I have deleted Bing as a Search Engine.

I have always used Google, it's in my Bookmarks, in my Bookmarks toolbar, I just click on the Google tab and search.........................up until now.

When I click on the Google tab, it takes me to Google Search, I type in what I'm looking for and when I just press return or click on Google Search it immediately shows the results in Microsoft Bing.

I do not know why this has happened and I am a little puzzled as I do not like Bing and actively avoid it.

Please could someone let me know what has happened, thank you for your time and consideration.

regards,

Sarah

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion. I have not tried Troubleshoot mode but have used Google on other browsers and it takes me straight to the searches in Google. I have also noticed that in the Extensions and Themes when I click on it, it just opens up a blank page.

It's becoming very frustrating now and I'm in two minds as to use another web browser.

Sarah

Try disabling your extensions.

Hi,

Thank you.

I did all this but found using Safe Mode worked.
