So I reformatted my computer today, but the process allowed me to keep all my personal files. I had made a backup in my appdata for all my passwords and bookmarks like Firefox allows when you're in Manage Passwords or Manage Bookmarks. After the formatting, I sign into my Firefox account, and it Syncs almost immediately. When I go into my appdata, the profile has been overwritten by the new sync, meaning all my passwords and bookmarks are now no longer available. Is there legitimately anything I can do??

When the original data is gone sync will remove the data from synced devices as well. What should've been done was follow the Firefox FAQ how to backup data not copy folders that will not work correctly or get all the right info. At this point your going to have to look at Firefox FAQ and see what can be found.

You can check if you have a C:\Windows.old folder with your Firefox profile data. You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created.
