Access Denied On a Website I use often
Hi, I use Zoro.com for buying industrial parts. I get access denied on all my computers (something got synced). I tried clearing cache and clearing something else to no avail. Recently I did a clean reload of Linux and was able to get on to zoro. But when replaced the mozella directory with my copy (with all data) zoro again became unavailable. I have been doing workaround for months but it is a pain to switch browsers every time. Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Ps I have been on the internet since it was called compuserve at 300 baud. I used to program machine code, dos, cpm, c+, Unfortunately at this time in my life a am not able to learn new tricks. Im not stupid just old. Thanks & Happy Holidays Glenn

That's good to know. So we know it's not a browser issue, but something in your profile. Did you try Firefox in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode

What OS? X11 or Wayland? You get the error when just going to the site or after logging in? Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla. Download, unzip, and run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
Hi, It won't go to the site at all. All other websites work. It worked fine with the fresh install of mint xfe but stopped working when i dropped in my mozella directory
zoro.com works from firefox-bin
Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.zoro.com/" on this server.

Are you getting this in Firefox from Mozilla?
It works for me. see screenshot You may have to try this. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-websites-address-bar-suggestions Make sure you know the login info because it's going to erase everything about the site.
In the new firefox-bin zoro works fine. I just ran it from that directory, no bookmarks or passwords. In my populated firefox i get that message. When i did the clean install a couple months zoro worked fine till i dropped in the my mozella directory containing the bookmarks and passwords. I assume the mozella in the home directory does not contain the program files, just my data Thanks Glenn
You can use sync to get your data into the new browser. I run Firefox from my distro only to test, but Mozilla version is my daily driver. Running multiple versions of Firefox is like a back-up for your data in case 1 browser goes BOOM.
Hi i deleted all zoro bookmarks still access denied.
should i install firefox flathub
Hi, So I synced the new download of mozilla and now that new download has access denied on zoro also. So something in the sync data killed it
"You don't have permission to access..." errors are characteristic of a firewall that protects the server against misuse and this firewall thinks something is suspicious about the HTTP request. If you use a proxy or VPN then try to use a direct connection. Select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
- Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
You can try to clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the padlock button or via "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences) to see if that fixes it.
I've seen cases where having enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" was causing this issue.
If this all doesn't work then you can try "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history item.
Have tried all of the above. fingerprint false. no proxy or vpn Thanks for trying

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Hi, Thanks to all for your help. I went to safe mode and did a restore and zoro.com is working again. Thank You and happy holidays Glenn
