Shortcuts on open tab

more options

I seem to have no control over what shortcuts appear on my opening tap page. Some sites are appearing there I have not accessed or have no account with. I am not sure how these merchants are accessing FF. I refreshed and also tried a few things I've found here and no luck. How do I remove shortcuts I do not want and stop sites from adding shortcuts?

Hi, some companies pay Mozilla to add an icon to the new tab page. These will show "Sponsored" and can be dismissed. When you first install Firefox, it also has some common popular site icons that you can either keep or remove as you desire.

This article has the steps for making those changes: Customize items on your Firefox New Tab page.

Does that work on yours?
