Outgoing Mail Stall

Outgoing mail stalls. The blue line goes across from left to far right and then stops. A "message sent" does not appear. I have waited for 30 minutes and the stall persists, even with a short test message. I turned off my antivirus (Bitdefender) and firewall. Incoming mail is fine.

I have another computer that works well for both in and out mail. Both computers use the same ISP (Netfirms) and have identical outgoing server settings, except for the email address.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Networking is disabled in Windows safe mode if you're connected by wifi, so the wifi network adapter has to be enabled in Device Manager.

If you can't remove BD, make sure the TB profile folder is excluded from BD scanning, and disable any other component that affects TB, such as anti-spam, SSL scanning.

Do your other, working computers have BD?

Turning off Bitdefender might not be sufficient to test its residual effects. Run Windows in safe mode to bypass startup apps, then try sending.

My internet connection is turned off in safe mode, even though I selected the option to leave the internet on. I completely disabled BitDefender and I am still blocked. I also reinstalled Thunderbird.

Help will be appreciated!

Fixed, it was a security setting.

I have this issue as well. What was the solution?

(I'm using uBlock Origin, not BitDefender AV)
