row height on Bookmarks
With the new version 89 the row height for bookmarks is way too big and now I am scrolling all over the place. I had them all perfectly spaced to show all in my full screen without scrolling. Is there an adjustment where I can go back to the previous narrower height?

I am sorry, but that is not an option at present but may be considered in a future update.
Do you mean on drop-down lists, or on the horizontal bookmarks toolbar?
If you mean on drop-down lists, I can give you a quick short-term workaround, but unless it becomes a built-in option, a more durable solution will require more work.
For testing purposes, there is a preference to switch between new style and old style menus. It helps with the spacing, but might be a tad bit glitchy:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the preference to switch between true (new style) and false (old style)
In my test, the Bookmarks menu on the optional top Menu Bar was messed up in the existing window, but looked okay in a new window. Doing a regular exit and restart of Firefox should resolve it.
Longer Term Community Workaround
This involves setting up a userChrome.css file. The full instructions are in the following thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1337841
I'm sure we'll refine that during the course of the month so when the temporary preference is removed, it will be airtight.
Thank you both for your replies..I hope this option comes in a future update as I am reluctant to do the temporary fix but your detailed explanation I am sure will help others more computer savvy! Thank you again.
Thanks for the temporary fix. I followed it and are am now back with a sensible line spacing for bookmarks. Why was it altered in the first place? and can we please have the small spacing as a permanent (or optional if absolutely necessary) feature!! I have already done the patch to reduce the overlarge toolbars; another unwanted update to cause annoyance to users!
