Archiving emails in subject folders
Hi Until recently I was using Live Mail and could archive emails I needed to keep in named subject folders e.g mobile phone bills. I found this very useful but I do not seem to be able to do this with Thunderbird. Archiving according to date and not subject will not be much use to me as I have still to migrate all my archived folders from Live Mail. Is there any way I can set up subject folders to archive emails? If there is could you make the instructions very simple please - I am not very tech savvy. Many thanks for your help Veronica Bennett

The archive function built into TB does move messages to folders according to date, but there is no reason you can't move messages to folders named for subjects. It's even possible to have it done automatically with message filters. Moving messages manually to various folders, and navigating a complex folder structure, can be enhanced with several related add-ons:
