That is odd. The only thing in Firefox that needs a code is the Master Password. Can you be more specific?

Sometimes the installation of Firefox to the Applications folder doesn't take, and you end up with an icon that runs Firefox as a temporary app from the DMG file. Could you double-check the steps in the following article and see whether you can get a permanent installation:
