Go to newspapers.com. No login is required. You'll see repeated flashing of the screen. This is new behavior, possibly related to the 84.0.1 upgrade. This web site works okay in Chrome in Windows 10 and in Safari on an iPad. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

How about in safe mode? Can we get a screenshot of your browser?

Thank you for replying. I put the browser into Safe mode and the problem didn't occur (except for the very first time in, which is almost as if the last flash was saved up somewhere). I then re-enabled the two add-ons that would have been active (Cisco webex extension and "Reading List") but the problem does not recur. Weird! I've taken a picture and attached it of the screen using Windows' snipping tool. I couldn't get the lower half of the screen because then it exceeded the limit of 1024K for attachments. And just to be on the safe side, I turned "Reading List" off going forward.

I'm not denying that I adding "Reading List" at some point, but I've not used it. From what I read, it looks like it saves something for later perusal. I wonder if that logic was somehow or other feeding upon itself when I went into the newspapers.com web site. I say that because of the fact that the very first time I brought newspapers.com up after going into safe mode, it blinked once, almost as if something had been queued up, and maybe that queue-up process is central to Reading List's logic. Best to get rid of it, just in case that's the problem.

Thank you again.

Bad news. The flashing newspapers.com web site continues to be a problem, even when restarting in safe mode. All add-ons have been deactivated and yet the problem still occurs. The problem doesn't occur in Chrome. Any additional ideas? I've tried to open up an issue with newspapers.com but so far have been unsuccessful.

Are you on a laptop or desktop? If, laptop have you tried and external monitor? Why not record the issue with your phone and then post it on YouTube. Without being able to replicate or see the issue, this is a tough one.

Is there a way to get a trace of the module? It's some kind of recursive phenomenon. When I worked on mainframes in the old days we had various tools that allowed us to get traces. I could obtain such a trace and send it to you.

I'm sorry, I ignored your suggestion about the video. Yes, I could make a video.

I tried to recreate the problem just now it wouldn't fail (!). Maybe the problem was on the web site, and the fact that it didn't fail before on Chrome, but did in Firefox, had nothing to do with the browser. I did try to communicate with the folks at the web site but that's hopeless. If it happens again I'll try to make a video.
