Floating Meeting Tab Stuck, Can't Detach Tabs

more options

I'm on Windows 10. The webcam software PerfectCam causes the floating icon-based meeting to be always on top [even if you minimise Firefox] and it also stops Firefox from letting you detach tabs from the main window by dragging a tab outside of the main Firefox window.

This does not happen with other webcam software such as SnapCam or Xplit.

The only way to get out of this problem is by closing Firefox. Extensions I have: Adblock, Adblock Plus, AddToAny Share Anywhere, Checker Plus for Gmail, Duplicate Tab Closer Quick Tabs Ported Startup Apps Weather

This does not happen immediately on the 1st Google Meet meeting of a Firefox session. It happens after a few meetings.

I actually find the always-on-top floating meeting Firefox tab a huge nuisance as I don't have anywhere to place it. If I put it on the corner, it covers the minimise/restore/close buttons. I'd love to be able to turn that thing off.

PerfectCam's maker Cyberlink's Tech Support already gave me some instructions after I sent some diagnostics data from my PC. The main thing was to go to the Device Manager > Display > Intel UHD Graphics 620 > uninstall And then go to an Intel page to download a software to downloaded the latest software for this intel thing.

After doing this, for most of the day, the problem didn't happen even after several meetings. So I thought that the problem had been solved. But at the end of the day it happened again.

I tested Google Meet on Chrome with PerfectCam and the problem doesn't happen on Chrome because it doesn't have a always-on-top floating meeting tab.

I'm attaching some images with information.

Hi riluma

I think this might be caused by:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1636496

which I believe is fixed in Firefox 79 beta.

Please give Firefox 79 beta a try: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/desktop/ and let us know if this fixes your problem.

Cheers!
