firefox locks up, none of the fixes I can find "fixes" the problem. I need to communicate with someone not be directed to endless pages

every day for the last week it locks up. i've spent a couple of hours trying sort it out but it doesn't work, when I delete and download and then install and try to activate it claims that it can load because one is already active. my email is ****@Gmail.com

Could you tell me more about the behavior? It locks up, like it freezes, does it happen randomly or when you are doing something specific? Does it crash and develop a crash report? Are you having to reinstall it to even make it open?

Can you tell us what steps you tried ?

Did you try Firefox Safe Mode ?

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
