Hello there you mean how to download a calendar (lightning calander)to thunderbird? Or do you aim to download something to the calendar?

-To import the calendar into Lightning-

Go to the Thunderbird's File menu and select New. ... Once the wizard opens, select On the network from the available options and click Next. Choose Google Calendar. Click Next. Enter your Google email address and click Next.

Hello there again ljfarrer. Here Firefox volunteer.

Apparently, the authors of the original Lightning app determined that 'Tasks' don't need to appear in a calendar view. So, when it comes to looking at a display of what you need to get done in a given week, if you want something to show up in the calendar, you have to call it an 'Event' -- which makes absolutely no sense.

i have a tweak add-on for you maybe this can soften your not present option.

have fun with it.

Hello there ljfarrer.

I have found some information about the subject.

Manage events in Lightning Experience Create and maintain meetings and work using the Main Page page, your calendar or calendars that you create, the Kanban Board or the Activity Timeline.

EDITIONS AND USER AUTHORIZATIONS REQUIRED

Available in Lightning Experience in: All editions except the Personal and Contact Manager editions

USER AUTHORIZATIONS REQUIRED Create events Edit events On Upcoming events on the Main page you can see the next five meetings in your agenda for today. Events from the past disappear from the list as the day progresses. In the navigation menu, choose Calendar to work with and create all of your events. Share your event calendars with others, subscribe to your colleagues' calendars and (if you have that permission) add events to their calendars and edit their events as needed. And create other calendars based on a standard or custom object: Choose the date field that you want to keep, and the calendar displays data in that field as calendar items. On the Kanban0Bord, opportunities show warnings when there are no open activities. To create an event, click on the yellow triangle. Use the activity timeline to monitor and update upcoming and past events for an opportunity, a lead, an account, or a contact. If your administrator or colleagues have not given you access to colleagues' calendars, use activity reports to view events that are owned by people below you in the role hierarchy.
