That is a bit odd. Is this with many websites, some, a few?

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

Google's script queries your Firefox for support of different formats, and if there are some your Firefox says are not supported, we should try to solve that first.

On Linux, FFmpeg might be needed (for example, see https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1246875).
