Abrowser plugin is required for my work. It is supplied by F% Networks suppliers of Web systems to local government amongst others. Firefox refuses to install stating it is unsigned. IE does not have this problem at all. xpinstallsignature required has been set to false. Firefox restarted, addon removed and connection retried still the same. Do not want to have to use IE but work pays my wages! There are others that are having the same problem, different add-in suppliers though, so this is not an isolated problem.

Thank you Firefox for screwing something up that was working.

Bernie

hi bernie, this preference was always intended to be used through a transitional period - starting with firefox 48 the requirement that extensions need to be signed is enforced in firefox release builds without the option to work around that. you can still use that preference in firefox developer edition though: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/developer/
