I've sent this to Speedbit. I've used Download Accelerator Plus for years with IE, Chrome, & Firefox. It no longer works with Firefox. Others have discussed this problem, Mozilla has done nothing. The xpinstall.signatures.required set to false has worked, but left Firefox vulnerable to unsigned add-ons. It no longer works. I'll be looking for another accelerator if no-one here has another work-around.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Finally got a response from Speedbit that works:

"We would like to suggest you to download and install the latest DAP release 10.0.6.0 directly from http://download.speedbit.com/dap10_full.exe Currently you may add the new DAP extension for the FireFox browser manually by the following: 1. Please download the new DAP extension from http://download.speedbit.com/dap10_ff_extension.xpi 2. Click "Tools for all add-ons" under the FireFox's Tools=>Extensions and choose "Install Add-on From File" 3. Install the extension from the the downloaded file and restart FireFox."

Hopefully this will help someone else. It works for now...

xpinstall.signatures.required is no longer available in Firefox 48.0 - that pref has been deprecated.

Nothing for Mozilla to do. That pref was only intended to be temporary and it lasted far longer than was originally planned by Mozilla.

DAP is going to need to update their Firefox add-on, or you'll need to find a similar add-on that has been kept up-to-date.
