After update to 46.01 javascript doesn't work and videos on tumblr can't play
After updating firefox to version 46.01 I am no longer able to play videos on tumblr, I can watch videos on
youtube though without issue.
I tried starting browser in safe mode all plugins disabled, before that I tried resetting browser, reinstalled
flash to the latest version, turned off hardware acceleration setting,
I notice that links on various sites requiring javascript no longer seem to work, perhaps there may be a problem with javascript in the new version, just a reminder i already did reset the browser and that didn't fix the problem.
I also tried to clear the cache: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now" Removed the cookies: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
I am running windows XP SP3
in about:config I changed javascript.options.shared_memory to > True

Note the YouTube will use the HTML5 media player and not the Shockwave Flash plugin in current Firefox releases.
You can check via the right-click context menu of the player area what kind of media player is used. A Flash based player shows a context menu with the Flash version.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?
