Can I still bookmark a page I'm on to a folder or subfolder or do I need to return to Internet Explorer?

more options

in the previous version, I could click "Bookmark this Page" and be given an option to name the bookmark and to save it to a folder or subfolder. I can't see how to do this with the new version in any of the FAQs. There must be a way to do it other than auto-assigning a file name (which I can't find in my very large list) and then moving it to the appropriate folder. If not, can you tell me how to get back on the previous version? I really don't want to have to go back to Internet Explorer. Thank you!

The secret is: either don't use the star on the toolbar, or double-click it.

These other methods may work better for you:

  • Ctrl+d
  • right-click a blank area of the page, click the star button on the context menu
  • (menu bar) Bookmarks > Bookmark This Page

Do any of those work? If not, it could be a problem that cropped up in Firefox 40 with certain add-ons interfering with bookmarking functions.
