Firefox Crashes everytime I try to play a YouTube video
Hi all.
I've been having an annoying issue since early this morning. I'm able to view the YouTube homepage, but every time I try to view a video, the player will work for a short time-usually a few minutes-and then Firefox will freeze. About a minute after that, I get a crash report and Firefox crashes. Here are the crash reports generated since this started happening:

It's only Youtube that gives me problems. I tried Twitch and Hulu and each site performed normally. Youtube seems to be working fine since I was able to access it on Internet Explorer without any trouble. I've run Malwarebytes and McAfee scans since this morning, but both have come up clean.
Any thoughts?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:
- see if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers

Thanks for the help Fred. I've done all three things you suggest, but it hasn't fixed my problem.
I checked Intel with the first link you gave me and I was told that there were no new drivers for me to use.
I then turned off hardware acceleration and protected mode in Flash. This seemed to help a little.
Now, instead of stopping about 3 minutes into the video, Firefox reloaded the video and it played in its entirety. The only difference was the Youtube window. The play button, full screen button, options button and all of the other things you expect to see on the bottom of the player window looked like they came out of a previous version of Youtube.
I finished watching the video and then clicked back to the YouTube Homepage using the Youtube logo in the upper left of the screen. Once I got back to the Youtube Homepage, Firefox crashed again. Here is the crash report:

Once Firefox restarted, I tried another video to see if it would play all the way through. It also stuttered at about the three minute mark and then started again with the old Youtube player window.
This time I had my Task Manager open to see if I could get more information. Firefox was using 50% of my processor, but 3.7 GB of my available memory (out of 4 GB).
I closed the Youtube tab and my memory usage slowly dropped to normal. I then opened another video and saw my memory usage steadily climb from 0.9 GB to 1.6 GB.
I'm beginning to think that something about my system configuration or Firefox has caused a memory leak when playing Youtube videos.

Issues have been previously linked to the McAfee Site Advisor extension. Try to disable it and see if the problem persists.

I tried each of the suggestions listed here individually. Disabling hardware acceleration from within Firefox seems to have worked. It still uses more memory then I would like-jumping up nearly half a GB-but it stabilizes after that.
Youtube video playback now seems to take somewhere around 400MB.
