I have asked this question before to the Dell support, but none of the answers helped. The keyboard and the bluetooth mouse suddenly stops to function.

Since this happens only when I'm online I make this question to FireFox support. I have the latest version of FF:

I have installed new BIOS and Shipset but this does not change anything.

Suddenly the keyboard and the mouse don't answer and I have to reboot manually.

Keep a log of when this happens. What were you doing, where . . . . . Check the batteries.

Hi,

Thanks for the help

Just for information:

I downloaded a free program called "StartupBooster" and by using this to disable or delete certain programs the problems with the freezing is (Take on wood), gone. In addition it also speeded up the start-up time.

Sounds like an issue with the operating system rather than with an application. IOW, not a Firefox problem, but a Windows problem.

You did not say what was done so we may repeat things.

Does this happen only on-line?

Have you tried Windows Internet Explorer?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?

The thing is that the problem occur very spontaneously or sporadic. That means that sometimes I can use the computer for several hours without problem. So therefore it would be difficult to say if it occurs or not if I start FF in safe mode.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.

Do you have any idea what caused the problem?

I'm afraid I have no idea of what caused the problem.

Have a nice day

Hi again,

Unfortunately the problem described in this post did returned. And I am pretty sure that it has to do with FireFox.

Since a cuple fo days I'm using Chrome without problem.

Since I have used FF for many years and kind of like it I would be glad if someone could tell me what could cause the problem with the freezing of the key board and Blue tooth muse.
