since I moved from 40.0beta to 40.0 MLB is not recognizing I have Flash installed and not allowing me to see my SF Giants game !!!
This evening I moved from Firefox 40.0 beta to 40.0 released on my old Lenovo R61 laptop running Windows XP SP3. Last night I ran the Giants game on this laptop so I know everything was working, the only thing that has changed is the Firefox update. Now I get an "Adobe Flash must be installed" every time I try to run the MLB At Bat from the MLB website. So I went to Adobe and installed the newest rev of Flash AGAIN ... no change. I'm stumped ... I'm going to dig out my iPod and watch the rest of the game on it. Grumble .....
Have a Sparkling Evening ;-D

Where did you find Firefox 40.0 released? I think it's not scheduled to be released until next Tuesday...
Could you go to the support information page and copy/paste the "Application Basics" table into a reply. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this mystery.
You may have gotten a Release Candidate build as there is no Fx 40.0 Release yet.
Note that there have been already two builds on the beta update channel to release so far:
Current beta changeset:
- Automated checkin: version bump for firefox 40.0 release. DONTBUILD CLOSED TREE a=release
