Whenever I open Firefox, it usually crashes after being open sometime between 10 seconds to one minute. I have tried running it in Safe Mode, refreshing it, and I've run programs to find and remove malware, but the same thing happens. What can I do to fix it?

Hi, you are using an old version (31.0) of Firefox, which may be causing your problem. To update it, open the 3-bar menu > Help (question mark at bottom) > About Firefox. The current version is 38.0.5, which is scheduled to update on 30th June to 39.0. More here - Update Firefox to the latest release.

If that doesn't help with the crashes, and in order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
