Heavy Input Lag only in Firefox after 2-3 hours and multiple windows open.. Brand new $1700 PC
Hi guys... I built a new rig last week and I noticed that after I have my PC on for an hour or so with about 5-6 windows open.. I get TREMENDOUS input lag (keyboard/mouse) while scrolling, typing or even clicking/loading certain pages.. It's gettting really bad.. It's super duper bad now.. I'm on a brand new rig 4.4k Ghz with a 850 SSD Pro... I checked other browsers and they dont have that.. Firefox is okay at first. but ...
OH WOW... I had newegg tab open and as I was typing out my issue, my firefox went to Newegg and some script error popped out... After i stopped the script my intput lag disappeared!!!! It's gone now! and my PC froze and said that some script stopped working.. So i closed it and the lag miraculously went away!! What's going on. Please help... This probably has happened with my OLD pc and is happening with this Brand New one!

Have you tried starting Firefox in safe mode? (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode)
All i need to do is restart Firefox and it goes away. It's like a cache buildup? Or some script interference.. Not sure why I am getting it.. It's a brand new PC.. I was having the same issue on my old PC

What security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Make sure that you fully allow the current Firefox release.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
