I signed up for an account within the past 30 minutes. I selected a password and confirmed it. Then I went to the Android store to download Firefox for Android on my phone - and that worked successfully. But when I tried to sign in, my password was rejected. I checked to assure it was the same, and it is. Why is my password not working? Oh, and it is 9 characters long with two numerals.

Further I tried to change my Firefox password on my desktop PC only to be rejected for the same issue. So I cannot even change my password (it requires the old password).

My fault. I should have been more clear.

I set up a Firefox SYNC account on my PC. The I added Firefox on my android phone (Galaxy S4). But I found that the password I used for the SYNC account on the PC did not work on the phone.

I tried to change the password on the PC, but it rejected the old password I used. I finally figured out that I could do a process where I did not have to use the old password - it warned me that I would lose something until a new password was established. But since I had nothing to lose I did the process and got my new password in place.

Then I went to my phone and tried to log in again with the new password and received the same response - bad password. But this time I turned on "show" and discovered that the auto-capitalization was screwing with me. So I assured the password was not capitalized and it worked.

Problem solved. But I still can't figure out what I did in the first place; I must have fat-figured my original password to be something other than what I thought it was.
