Firefox doesn't disable Anti-Virus applications, but some security add-ons for Firefox may be disabled if they aren't compatible with Firefox. Those security add-ons 'tell' Firefox which version they are compatible with; so if an add-on is disabled as incompatible with a Firefox, that's something the security application creator needs to fix.
