Hello everyone. I make backups of folder "bookmarkbackups" in Firefox profile folder, so that when I have to make a restore after a data loss (for whatever reason), I can also restore my bookmarks. I'd like to be able to restore my extensions too, and to do this it would be enough to have a backup of the list of extensions I had installed before the trouble happened. However, if I backup the subfolder "extensions" of the profile folder, I would have a list of files the name of which looks like:

FirefoxColor@mozilla.com.xpi idcac-pub@guus.ninja.xpi uBlock0@raymondhill.net.xpi vpn@proton.ch.xpi {3d92ddc3-5581-453f-ad9f-d9ea864d1f9a}.xpi {531906d3-e22f-4a6c-a102-8057b88a1a63}.xpi

..so that in most cases I cannot guess the extension name from the file name. My purpose is to install manually the extensions in the new browser installation, once I have the list of the extensions. Moreover, in that folder you find all the extensions, both the ones which were active, and the ones which were inactive... But I'd like to have a list of the active ones so that I can re-install only that ones.

Does anyone know how can I get such a list, starting from the profile folder?

I need a more permanent fix to the disappearing bookmarks issue when the file is in use by another entity. I have tried to fix it, read the instructions and when I start to apply the fix, the instructions disappear and now I have to depend on my faulty memory.

Hi I keep getting this error on Firefox. I did disable all my extensions prior to this image shown to see if it was an extension causing an issue to no avail. I also looked for an update for Firefox and saw it was up to date. I also attempted to refresh Firefox which was a successful refresh however the error persisted. After refreshing I fully uninstalled Firefox and then reinstalled however the issue persists.

This error is shown however if I refresh the page sometimes the page freezes as if it lost connection and sometimes it reloads as per normal with the video playable.

This image is one of a series of similar messages I get. Incredibly, this has even after a 2-step verification is competed.

I have no problem with Yahoo in Chrome. No problem with the Yahoo email mobile app.

I am not a Chrome fan, but It is not unusual for me to have to use Chrome to avoid random website behavior issues with Firefox.

I have Firefox reinstalled, it is not syncing bookmarks, history. I tried to import booksmarks from edge but it could not find the file or said it does not have any bookmakrs on it which was not true.

I reinstalled Firefox on my laptop after it crashed. I also have Firefox on my iPhone. The profile there is up to date. How do I sync that profile to the laptop installation?

I have entered in exceptions for a web page that Firefox continues to block....I have gone through your steps 4 times now...one time out of 4 you actually let the web page through....since then you don't again...what is wrong with your system? as I am not receiving a download link from the intended exception due to the fact you are not honoring it....

Dlaczego zawsze gdy chcę przetłumaczyć stronę pokazują mi się -tłumaczenie z język polski na język perski? Zawsze muszę wprowadzać, że chcę przetłumaczyć z język angielski na polski na przykład. Nie wiem jak mogę to zmienić by móc szybciej przetłumaczyć konkretną stronę? Skąd zawsze pokazuje się ten język perski. Chcę by zawsze wskazywało mi,że chcę przetłumaczyć np z język angielski na polski i nie potzebuję ustawiać, by wszystkie strony tłumaczyły się na język polski. Może ktoś wie jak usunąć tą podpowiedź tłumaczenia z język polski na język polski i ustawić inną podpowiedź? Dziękuję wraz z pozdrowieniami.

Hi. I've downloaded dictionaries and languages, the check spelling option is enabled in the browser settings. However, browser doesn't want to do it automatically. I have to manually enable it with RMB context menu (and re-select languages) for each website individually. Moreover, when the page refreshes, spell checking turning itself off again in RMB menu (but stays enabled in browser options).

  Is this really how it's supposed to work?

My screen has recently been drowned in completely uninteresting and unwanted boxes with various contents, signed Mozilla Firefox, that I have to keep clicking 'dismiss' on to get rid of - how can I make this unwanted invasion of my screen stop????

My Firefox is not showing search suggestions/autocomplete when I search for a term in the search bar. First screenshot is what I see, second screenshot is from Chrome. Third screenshot is my settings.

I would like to continue using Firefox, but this is extremely infuriating.

I am trying to access certain HTTPS website and some of them show PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR in Firefox. This error is not present in Edge or Chrome. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Here's what I've tried (none of these works):

   DNS over HTTPS turned off
   Uninstall all add-ons
   Reinstall Firefox
   Create new profile and set it as default
   Delete/rename certs.db in the Firefox profiles folder. 

I'm tired fixing errors which become more complex and solutions are written for people who have the time an knowledge to waste fixing these constant issues in FIREFOX, Time to change browser.

I don't know if this is relevant but one of the website that does not work is https://delta-executorr.com/

Can I permanently turn off InformationUpdate available' which appears each time I open Firefox. I must click Dismiss to close it. The problem is that after each update, many services to which I log every day, state that I am logging from a new device and I must complete a time consuming procedure of adding a new device in many places. And I don’t need most of the updates.
