In my org - ever since the release of Firefox 146 - each time an update is rolled out on a WIndows 11 endpoint - Firefox is no longer able to launch.

This is resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the client. We've had no issues with the ESR release in my testing.

What changed? Anyone else experiencing this?

I had our security team take a look at the antivirus - they've confirmed we aren't blocking Firefox and they did not see any block reports.

No relevant policy changes have gone through around the time of the incident. Initially I suspected users were installing Firefox ESR from the Company Portal alongside the standard release - but confirmed this is not the case. Also ruled out browser extensions - error persisted across a config without any extensions.

Please let me know if there is troubleshooting info I can collect. I included info from my own browser, but I reinstalled on the 27th and it has been working since. However, it has broke specifically on the days new releases have come out.

How do you avoid/deal with Firefox website incompatibilities? This happened on consecutive visits to two different websites today before I posted here.

In the first one, I disabled Ublock, cleared cache and cookies, and the site loaded, I then enabled Ublock with no error prompted.

Then I got a tab crash on Youtube. I wouldn't call tab crashes a daily occurrence for me, but I'm accustomed to them

Is there any way to get the root of this. The only recent changes I can think of are browser and addon updates. Should I post my list of addons?

I have disabled and removed any and all VPN's from my main unit. I have reloaded Firefox and cleaned the registry. Still getting the message and am unable to display images. Any ideas?

I kept dismissing the CNN, etc. content but you kept right on sending it back.

I have lost all bookmarks on a new laptop. Recently added C Cleaner and did a scan. That may have caused the problem. But, now I cannot recover the bookmarks, nor can I save new bookmarks. The version of Firefox on my android phone has the bookmarks. I can see them. But, I do not see a way to sync the devices and import the data to my laptop.

Please advise.

since the newest Firefox update, i got today (16.09.25), the audible cloudplayer doesnt work anymore, meaning it wont load the audiobook! I emptied the cache, but nothing changed. I tried the audible cloudplayer with Windows Edge and it works fine, so it is a Firefox specific problem. I granted all websides access to audio and media automatic replay, nothing changed. The cloudplayer doesnt work! So my question is: What else is interfering in Firefox with the loading of the player? Thank you so much in advance for your help :) Yours sincerely David

i have lost my Bookmarks folder and the bookmark function no longer works, since recently restarting. CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO RECOVER THE LOST BOOKMARKS OR HELP ME WITH THE ACT OF BOOKMARKING?

The MetaMask browser extension is extremely slow and unresponsive when used in Mozilla Firefox. Actions such as opening the wallet, switching networks, approving transactions, or interacting with dApps take a long time or freeze temporarily.

This issue occurs only in Firefox. MetaMask works smoothly and as expected on other browsers (for example, Chromium-based browsers) and all other websites and browser extensions load and function normally in Firefox. This suggests the problem is specific to the MetaMask add-on behavior within Firefox rather than general browser performance.

Impact:

Delayed transaction approvals

Lag while opening the extension

Poor user experience when interacting with dApps

Productivity impact when using Web3 applications

I have tried so many times to reset my Mozilla Firefox account password to no avail, using my Account Recovery Key, which I stored in LibreOffice Draw on my computer. The so many times that I tried, the error that comes up is: "Invalid account recovery Key", no matter how many codes are sent for me to rest my password. Please, rectify the problem as to why a correctly stored 32 characters Account Recovery Key is not working for me to reset my password. Regards

I have lost my passwords on my desktop. I still have them on my mobile. I am currently logged on to Mozilla on my Desktop. If I log on to Mozilla on my mobile and select "Synch" how can II ensure that the mobile passwords replenish those on the Desktop and not vice-versa?

In version 146.0.1, or perhaps even earlier, I noticed that if you set a Primary Password to log in to the browser, you can reset it and log in simply by clicking the "Cancel" button. This allows you to access all of your user tabs and links. I hadn't noticed this before. It defeats the purpose of setting a Primary Password. I noticed similar issues in the Tor browser, but you can't set a Primary Password there at all, even though the feature is there, and it's built on the Fire Fox engine. Please fix this issue. No buttons should allow you to log in without entering the correct Primary Password.

My bookmarks have disappeared. The solutions do not seem to work. It may be due to Avast Secure Browser trying to take over. Will they come back if I uninstall that?
