I wanted to separate private and work, so I made a whole new account – and associated it with the old one.

Then I found out I could just make an extra profile, which I did – and then I deleted the new account.

But now I can't access or syncronize my primary profile, and I don't know how to separate the two – or preferably just make one single account again, and the do the new profile from scratch.

When I try to log in to my original account with cyber@mikes.dk it says:

Account already in use cyber@mikes.dk is already signed in to the “Cybermikes” profile You can only associate this account with one profile on this computer.

Can you help?

I've been using Firefox for so many years I don't use any other browser unless a site doesn't work,then I use 'Opera' (very infrequent). I updated Firefox to v154.0 and now searching does not work properly.

I used to be able to enter a question into the bar/box where one would normally view any given URL, select return, and Firefox would bring up Yahoo! search results.

With this update, that doesn't work. When I select return the URL that had been in the space just reappears. If I visit the Yahoo! main page and try to use the search box with the magnifying/eye-glass, it launches a blank tab.

I'm forced to use the AI icon to get a search result. I do NOT want to use that feature.

Also, with Firefox 154.0 I cannot remove other search engines. With every update I remove Google, Bing, Duck-Duck-Go, Wiki, Amazon, etc. because I ONLY want one search engine, Yahoo!

I checked the Yahoo!Search Extension and made sure all the "allow" buttons needed were selected.

I want to remove the other search engines from the Settings tab, and I would like to have the same behavior prior to the update: simply type my question or text into the main html bar/box and select return, and get results.

I see that other had an issue starting with version 142 or so that was similar, but I've not had this issue until two days ago.

Any help is appreciated. And yes I delete my cache etc. regularly. I'm on Mac OS 15.7.7 and again, it has never been a problem until updating Firefox to v154.

I believe I got an automatic update to Version 154.0 yesterday on my Windows 11 laptop. When I opened Firefox after the update I got stuck

My Bookmarks appear to still be available, but my passwords are gone. The passwords are still available on my iPhone and iPad

I have tried syncing to no avail.

I need my passwords. How can I get them back?

The password saver and autofill has worked for me for many years. However, recently (08/18/2026) on many login pages that I regularly use, it will not !! I did discover that, if I supply the first character of the USERNAME, only then Firefox will supply the rest.

If I grab the vertical bar and drag it to the right, a gap appears between the sidebar and the web page. If I move it to the left, the web page covers the right side of the sidebar. In both cases the width of the sidebar does not change. I am on Windows 10 with Firefox Version 154.0.

I would be grateful for any help on this.

After the last update I keep bein forcefully logged out of my firefox account. And when I manage to log in, my saved passwords are all gone! After restarting firefox I'm logged out again. What's going on?

This first happened a few days ago and I successfully recovered my book marks from backup. It has now happened twice more. I can't be sure, but it seems possible that this happened each time after installing recent updates. Note that my recent history has also vanished.

After updating Firefox to the latest version (154.0) a short while ago, Firefox now insists on adding a “Firefox” icon to my Start Menu every time I open it. I do not need or want this additional icon, as I already have all the Firefox icons I want in exactly the place(s) where I want them. I am not finding a toggle for this behavior anywhere in the Settings menu structure, although I might be overlooking it. Is there a way to stop this annoying behavior besides rolling back to version 153?

(I am running Windows 11 on a desktop PC with all updates installed, and Firefox is set as my default browser.)

i click the VPN button and sign in, it tells me i have signed in successfully and turn on with the open panel, but there is no open panel to turn it on it just loops back to me signing in

I am getting constant pop up "alerts" on the right side of my screen that block my view. When I close one another pops up. It's very annoying. All of them have

the Firefox logo and name in the upper left corner.

In some multi-line text fields:

• when I begin typing, a menu drops down or pops up.

Each menu option is a previously-typed phrase, not necessarily recent.

Is this a hidden feature of Firefox?

It's very recently evident with at least three websites:

Reproducible with multiple Firefox profiles. Also evident with Firefox in safe mode.

Not evident with Microsoft Edge.

It's possible that the feature was inadvertently enabled in response to an unknown combination of keys (shortcuts) as described in Mastodon.

I used to have VPN on my computer. Then I got a technician in to find out why it was running so slowly. He said it was because of the VPN, so I removed it. So my question is: Will Firefox VPN slow my computer down?

I did the new browser update. It wiped out all of the back ups of all of my profiles on my system in the User profiles. I need to get back the profile I was using yesterday. I need this urgently.

I've been relying on the checklist widget - but it has disappeared, along with my other timer & weather widgets. I see no way to get them back, either in Firefox settings or in the home page settings either.

u have asked how to stop Firefox from keeping saying firefox id running but not responding. I have gotten some answers but i need to let you know this is what i have in my task manager you will se the photo there is also one at the top plus i have all these profiles the one in bllue now i saw where it said to place.sqlite and rename it old i also took out parent lock and it is still happening all the time so what can anyone k help me stop this

Since your upgrade to the new version of 154, Having a huge problems. Couldn't log in to various accounts. The most problematic one is to getting in Costco, Etsy and Ebay. Etsy and Ebay has been fixed after a week but Costco one is not. We can't log in and if it allows somehow to login then can't check out. It sits there and comes back to the same page. Won't move forward to the payment page at all. To make it from bad, worse to worst - this morning my wife uninstalled the Firefox and installed it back. That's where all the problems started. Now we lost all the "bookmark tabs, login and everything". We are exhausted and very angry. There's no help line to pick up the phone and get a quick help. So please send a suggestion list to recover the old version or at least all the old bookmark and log in from last 20 years. It'll be highly and hugely appreciated. Thank you.

P.S: We are also very old folks. Do know much about IT, so please educate and or guide as like a 10 years old.
