I would like to open a Firefox browser with multiple tabs per topic, like work1/work2/hobby and see that given name in the taskbar, instead of the tab-name
I usually open a new browser window per subject, let's say I'm shopping online for something and open about 5 tabs for that, but in the same time I am working on 2 systems which are lookalike, but defenitely should not be mixed average 6 tabs open per subject. Also I read something on my hobby and I open another window and want to read a few tabs on that.
I don't want them to mix and preferably I'd like to see a self-chosen subject for a minimized window in the taskbar.
Is there a feature like this or is it possible to add a feature like this?

Check out the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page. It might have something you can use.
There seems to be no such thing as an AddOn for "custom title for firefox window". Please note: it's not about the Tabs, it's about thw window title, (specifically in the taskbar).
Let me know if I missed the AddOn which is there.

I have an alternative idea that may be a good workaround.
Try out the built-in; but not widely used or known; tab grouping feature.
(Which used to be an addon known as panorama.)
Although That does have a naming feature for groups of tabs it does not do exactly as you ask. Also I think development of that feature may well have stopped and I am not sure how long it will be around for.
It does allow you to see thumbnails of chosen size, or shrunk to a single thumbnail per group. The groups may be given a displayed name. It would be easy to see thumbnails for 3 groups each of six tabs all on one page with a title for each group.
Just be aware that the tabs groupings could be a bit fragile. They rely on the session-restore system (That is possibly something being reviewed & replacement considered). You may wish to ensure you bookmark open tabs or groups of tabs and do not rely totally on them always opening as expected.

It's not extremley urgent, I was hoping more to enthusiast the Mozilla programmers to implement this fairly easy feature in one of the near future releases ;-)
Another alternative by the way maybe to use multiple Firefox profiles. I will give more information on that if required. It is fairly easy if you are used to using computers but not something this forum officially supports with KB articles.
The bult in Tabs groups sounds more like what you want. Did you try that ?
As for trying to interest Developers. You could make a comment using feedback but I would not hold out much hope unless you yourself know a developer willing to undertake the coding and press for its use. Maybe you would be more likely to interest and get something from add-on developers, assuming a similar add-on does not already exist.
