I have an iMac, version 10.8.5 and can no longer open a new private window.

I am using Firefox 25.0.1 and my OS is up to date.

A few days ago, I could no longer open a new private window. When I click on that tab, I get a new open window.

When you reply, please keep in mind that I am not computer literate and would appreciate a non-technical answer.

Make sure your not using private browsing mode by default

check whether private browser is opening or not

  • by holding the SHIFT + CMD + P key.
