Typing in URL does not work

On my Samsung SIII, after updating FireFox to 14.0, I cannot enter URL's OR search text in the "Enter search or address" bar. If I type a search term and and then select Google search (for example), the "Enter Search or address" hint stays in the bar, the page goes blank and the animation to the left of its spins indefinitely. The same applies to typing an URL and the using the "Go" key on the keyboard, the bar shows the hint, blank page and endlessly spinning icon... Tried uninstalling, including adblock and reinstalling (without any add-ons) but same results. The version before this was fine....
