Are you really using Firefox 3.6b5 (Firefox 3.6 Beta 5) ?? Your User Agent shows:

  • Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2b5) Gecko/20091204 Firefox/3.6b5

That's an ancient version of Firefox !

You should upgrade Firefox to the latest version, either by using the Firefox updater - see Update Firefox to the latest release - or by going to http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new and downloading the Firefox 11 installer and then running the setup file to upgrade Firefox . See How to install Firefox on Windows for more help.

Also, your plugins list (under "more system details") shows:

What's that for? You could try disabling it in Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins to see if it's connected with your tabs issue. If that doesn't help then see Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

Once that's done, see Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page to remove added third-party toolbars such as Babylon and reset your search preferences.

BrowserPlus is an add-on from Yahoo that is pretty much useless, you can go to Start, Control Panel, Programs and Features to uninstall it. And yes, PLEASE update your Firefox to Firefox 11.

After uninstalling Babylon, it may have changed your home page and search Engine, read How to set the home page to change your home page back to what you want it to be, and install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/ to reset your search Engine to default.

Also, you can do a few other things to hlep ensure that Firefox (which you should upgrade immediately to Firefox 11) runs smoothly!

Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.

Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers.

Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

Download and Run TDSSKiller http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363
