how do I change how my browsersearches from the location bar?
I want to change how my browser searches when I type an address in. Right now it use AVG search but I want to change it to Google, which is more user friendly.

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
