I am interested in buying a Smartswipe card reader from Amazon. This reader is used to encrypt your information (credit card) before being sent to the on-line store for purchases. I have read several reviews of this on Amazon that state that this reader does not work with Firefox. Is this true? Is there some kind of add-on I can use with your browser? Thank you.

Ok, thank you. I thought I saw the same thing on the Amazon site, but apparently I did not look hard enough. Thanks.

I have purchase Smartswipe and while it works perfectly if I switch to Explorer, Using Firefox I can no longer get into my on-line banking or any site where I have a secure personal back office. I am using the up todate version of Firefox and My computer is compatible. On Thursday morning I was on line at both my bank and 2 back offices successfully. I installed swipe Thursday afternoon and access to these sites froze and timed-out at entry of user name and password. I was able to shop. I have talked with my bank and SmartSwipe and got no solutions so far. Bank suggest deleting and re installing Firefox. I am happy to use computers but anything like that I would need an expert.

Any thoughts
