Duckduckgo double typing and can't backspace

Insect-Tech

Recently when typing on Firefox on the duckduckgo search engine, anything you type gets doubled, and you cannot backspace. The issue doesn't occur when on Google page, only on ddg. I also tried different keyboard apps and the issue still persists. I went to the same page on Google chrome and the issue does not occur. This just started happening within the last week or so. If it matters/helps, I'm on Samsung s24 ultra.

Hi,

Sorry for that. This issue should be resolved in v150.0.1, which is now being rolled out. Please update your Firefox once the new version becomes available to you and let us know whether you still experience the issue.

For reference, see bug 2029505.

I'm still seeing this in v151 on all websites, Reddit and every forum I frequent. It only happens if I backspace and then begin typing again. It'll repeat part of the word I was correcting and then occasionally move my cursor into the middle of the mess of letters. If I type cleanly and don't require backspacing, it doesn't really happen anymore. I've had this for about the last 6 months and occasionally switch browsers when it gets really bad. It has been better lately, but does happen occasionally.

This is the longest post I've typed that it did not happen once and I did backspace a few times. I'm sure it is somewhat related to how Reddit and other message boards are set up, but it only occurs with Firefox. I also use Samsung Browser and occasionally Chrome(yuck!) and have never had this issue with either of them.
