Hi bdrock

If Firefox on iOS has stopped asking to save passwords, here are a few things to check that usually fix it:

1. Confirm password saving is still enabled

  • Open Firefox → Menu (☰) → Settings → Logins and Passwords.
  • Make sure “Save Logins and Passwords” is turned on.
  • Also check that “Autofill Logins” is enabled if you want saved passwords to fill automatically.

2. Check iOS password settings

Firefox uses the system autofill framework on iPhone/iPad:

  • Go to iOS Settings → Passwords → Password Options.
  • Under Allow Filling From, make sure Firefox is checked. If it isn’t, toggle it on — otherwise Firefox can’t save or fill passwords.

3. Clear site exceptions

If you once tapped “Never save” for a site, Firefox remembers it.

  • In Settings → Logins and Passwords → Saved Logins, scroll down to Never Saved and remove any sites listed there.

4. Restart Firefox / Reinstall (if needed)

Sometimes the prompt stops appearing after an update. Closing Firefox completely (swipe it away from the app switcher) or reinstalling the app usually restores the prompt.

After doing these steps, try signing into a new site — the “Save password?” prompt should appear again.
