Everytime I try to save an Image or video file, Firefox on Android just says download failed without explaining how or why.

I've tried clearing the cache. I've tried clearing download and search history. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

I don't know what else to do.

Hi

Do you have an example of a file that you are trying to download so that I can try and replicate the issue here?

This is the site containing the video files that are failing.

As for images it's the whole lot of them, tried from Wikipedia to regular image search (and 1 naughty site). Every image on the app is an example.

It was not like this the day before. I've gone through all the settings. Used other Android browsers and it seems it's just firefox that has gone funny. Only extensions currently in use are ublock, adguard and privacy badger, I've turned them off and on too.

Sorry if this is too vague but I really don't know why the downloads are failing.

Can you open the image in another tab (hold down on screen image, open in new tab, new private tab then download from the opened tab? Can you download anything at all within the browser? Have you gone into android settings, apps, 3 dots tip right, display hidden apps, clear cache and data on package manager, installer, download manager and downloads... Clear cache on browser oall these in app settings, not while in the app itself or within the app... If you clear data on Firefox browser it resets the app completely, wipes the app so that's out.... Have you reset your internet, wifi, Bluetooth and wifi hotspot??? Who is your APK store, it may be a download issue itself, not Firefox???

Could this be explained a bit more clearly please?

I experience the same, I factory reset my Firefox did everything even using some extension it didn't work, it only happened after I allowed the site to display full size image yet I need to do I could download the GIFs because if I didn't allow it to it will give me the file as jpeg instead of gif.
