Are junk filters specific to computers or to email addresses?

Please forgive a very basic question. I think I know the answer but would appreciate having the correct one from the pros.

My wife and I each have Thunderbird installed on our computers. While we each have individual email addresses, we also have one email address we share, and we access it via Thunderbird.

If I'm marking certain messages as junk on my computer, will that designation only apply to my computer or, because of the common email address, will it mark those same messages as junk on my wife's computer?

They're two different worlds. She won't know what you specify as junk. :)
