Firefox tabs start crashing all of a sudden and won't stop crashing, until BSOD happens.

In my case it caused PFN List Corrupt Blue screen error.

How can I identify the real reason for the crash of the tabs, leading to the crash of the system?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

That's kind of hard to test, since I can't really used Firefox in troubleshoot mode to see if it happens or not.

I will see if I can afford to run it for a couple of hours to see if it starts happening

Does it still happen if you disable hardware acceleration?

I had default settings. I have now disabled hardware acceleration and will report back if crashes occur again

Does the BSOD mention a specific DLL or application ?

What does the Windows Event Viewer log show?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.

BSOD doesn't have a specific DLL or app, only the error "PFN LIST CORRUPTED". The Eventviewer doesn't show any special errors, but the minidump shows firefox caused the crash (its the last image attached to the first post).

The issue with these tabs crashing is that they do not necessarily happen immediately, and sometimes may not happen for a while but then I get 10 tab crashed in a row, and running a PC in safe mode while waiting for the crash to happen isn't really helpful.

I was running Firefox in troubleshooting mode for a couple of hours yesterday and haven't had any crashes. I then restarted and disabled ublock origin plugin and so far so good.

But without ublock origin, the browser is useless :D So what can I do if this keeps up I'm guessing I have found the culprit.

Do the crashes start happen again if you re-enable uBlock Origin? Did you reboot the computer in between in case that made a difference? There is a confidential bug linked to the report (1871551), so we won't be able to read comments to see what this is about.

Yes, i restarted and everything.

Another scenario popped up.

It won't crash on my laptop with ublock origin enabled (shitty computer, work laptop, 16gbs ram etc)

It will crash on my gaming PC (32 gigs of ram, dedicated GPU etc)

It won't crash on my PC with ublock origin disabled

The website where I can get the tab to crash the easiest - https://raydium.io/swap/ when i click on launch app.

At first i thought it could be ram issue, but games are running fine and are not crashing (league of legends, CS2). Also It started crashing the tab again when I reenabled the ublock origin.

Visit about:studies in the address bar and see if anything there mentions "PHC" (Probabilistic Heap Checker).

Try changing memory.phc.enabled to false in about:config then restart the browser.

No such thing and I have memory.phc.enabled set to false.

I guess this post needed to approved first. It would seem this describes my problem best.

Hardware acceleration is already disabled.

Windows installation is 2 weeks old, not much has been installed and when installing I tested the disk and it was 100% ok, scannow returns no errors, onedrive is disabled, checkdisk ok, drivers are all up to date.

Will report back any new findings

Games may not stress the memory enough, run MemTest86+ to thoroughly test it.

UPDATE:

I had my computer replaced a month ago (Motherboard, CPU, RAM) due to system failure.

Nevertheless I ran RAM checks and guess what, one stick fails again. I took sticks out from 2 & 4 and only kep the 1 & 3 running and no more issues with crashing tabs. I am baffled by the fact that the overpriced Kingston Fury RAMs (4x8gbs) would fail this easily and twice in a row.

I have asked for a replacement and will report back once I have more info.
